Refugee

Today in Rimu we are going to finish Refugee and it isn't looking good for Josef he has been caught by the Germans. And his mum only has enuff money to save one of her children. And Isabelle is trying to get to the land before the coast guard gets them and they don't have a motor.  And Mahmoud has been put into a prison. we are going to finish the book today but I think that they are all going to die. 

Overall, I think that the book is really exciting and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Math

Today in Rimu we did an e-asttle math test about Statistics. but before that my math group got some slides to do, we had to do as much as we can. here are some photos of some of the things we had to do.

I really don't like math and I am not really really good at it but you could be so why don't you have a go at it if you want.

Today in Rimu we made our native better than what we did on Wednesday because today we had to mack it look really cool so I used Pictochart. Here is a photo of mine.

Writing

Today in Rimu for writing we did a writing test. We had to plan it first though. here is my plan.

Opening: Introduces the setting and character setting is on the moon, that characters name is Alex he went to the moon.

Setting: Where is your setting set? Brainstorm some descriptive language now to help you. On the moon cant breath.

Characters name: Description. Flaws, feelings/attitude/character type, what they look like. Remember show not tell.  He has short black here, has wanted to go to space all his life.

Build up. What is your character/s doing leading up to the problem he went to the moon and the engines start making funny sounds. Problem - What goes wrong? He crashed on the moon. Events. What are the events which happen right after the problem? SHOW not TELL his co-pilot has died. Resolution. Is the problem resolved or left? Remember your descriptive language. SHOW not TELL he rebuilds the rocket. End. Does your character reflect on what has happened? How has your character changed? What have they learned? Is there a twist to the story? Is there a moral to the story? SHOW not TELL. the rocket got too much power and ended up crashing on Jupiter.

Character Change How does your character change/grow as a result of the problem/events/ resolution /end throughout the Narrative? (Flaws, personality , feelings/ attitudes/ character  type)

Then we had to write a story and tomorrow we are going to mack it better. Here is mine.

Oo where am I? Why is my head so sore? Why can't I move? Why am I floating? O yea I was going to the moon when the engines started to make funny sounds. We crashed some were. Where is the window I need to see where we are. I am on the moon, wow this is great, now whereDavidaved we need to go get a flag, what what is this floating? It looks like a body, oh no, it's Daved, oh no, oh no,oh no,oh no. its Daved, heś dead no he can't be dead I need him to help me get back to earth. This is bad, this is bad, this is really bad, how am I meant to get back to earth without a co pilot. Where's the radow I need to contacted mission control. mission control, mission control come in, oh no, the radow, itś broken. Now I will never get back to earth. Well, there is no point in just sitting here and doing nothing. Where's my helmet I'm going outside.

Wow itś right what the say there really isn't much gravity on the moon. Hay what is that in that crater? Somethings moving oo what is that itś got three big eyes and 4 fat arms one long leg and nine plump stomachs, and it is all black and covered in slime. It is an aleyin. I better go back to the rocket and get some weapons just in case. It is a good thing that the scientist on earth just invented a new weapon cooled a phaser. Aparintly is shots a burst of enge and it has different settings. I should probably put it on stun. Now let's get back to that crater.

Wow they seem to have lots on little houses made out of metal. And one big hall in the middle I wonder what's in there I need to go have a look but I better be careful I don't know it these creatures are friendly or not I better stay hidden, good nobody saw me now I just need to get thru this door, I know I will use the phaser, yay it worked wow what is that it looks like a stasis chamber. I wonder who is inside it? I will go have a look, oh my goodness it is Neil Armstrong. I thought he got back to earth, and he was meant to have died a long time ago. Hay that button must get him out. Neil Armstrong you have been kidnapped by aliens let's get you home, the  house will work nisly to fix my ship and it wont tach long. Good, it is fixed now let's get back. What why are we going to fast we aren't meant to go this fast, what is that jupiter. Great we have crashed on jupiter, now we are never going to get home.

Inquiry.

For the last 3 weeks in Rimu we have been doing inquiry about the environment. we need one main question and then we need to brack that down into 4 sub-questions, mine is what is pollution? My 4 sub-question are what types of pollution is there, how is pollution affecting marine life, how can people, communities and governments stop pollution. 

10 minute writing challenge.

Today we had to do a 10 minute writing challenge thing, that is when we look at a photo that the teacher shows us and we need to mack a story about it in 10 minutes. The photo was a gay stuck in a wall. Here is my thing about it.
This is a story about how a man got stuck in a wall it was in the 25th century he was on a mission to get the rest of the people that were going against the Federation. He was sent on a mission to get them to a Federation prison on Earth he was going to get beamed down and surprise then but there was one problem, he hated being beamed to places because it could go wrong when he gets turned into millions of pits and not get put back together, or he could end up in space or another random place. No, he didn't do it, but he was the only one who could find them so he had to he got some strength and did it but then he beamed into a wall and his family was so sad and they went into a mental health center because the went crazy. and was stuck there forever so if you don't like being beamed then don't beam you this could happen.  

the other one is about what my shows would say if they could talk. We had to do a diary entry. Here is is.

Dear diary.

My master's feet stink! The stink like the poo of lion poo like of lion poo could poo that is what the small like. And to make matters worse he isn't having a shower agent that has been three months without a shower, that is a new record. And we had crunchy today as well and that mead them all sweaty and now I stink and I got put in the wash if you ask me I think that he should go in there. I really had my life I wish that he would throw me away and get another pair of them. Mmmm pear tow game I have an idea I will put some of his toe jam in his pear and see how he likes it. And then will run away and never see those stinky feet agen.

Inquiry.

Today in Rimu we did our mini-inquiry. We had to take notes about what we are researching in our group work. My group was doing water pollution here is a photo of the slide that has my notes on it. 

I think that is was a bit hard because I wasn't here on Monday because I was sick.
